Julie Banderas, in her professional career to date has covered several significant issues including the storm Dennis and the disappearance US student Natalee Holoway. In 2004, she won the Outstanding Single Newscast Emmy Award for her reporting on the Republican National Convention. An outspoken journalist she drew the attention of international media for her criticism of US Trump President Donald Trump for his derogatory comment about another anchor on TV.
